Valeria Minisini is an MA International Relations and International Law student at the University of Kent. Italian-born, Valeria grew up in Zambia and still visits the country when possible. She has actively participated in Model United Nations conferences in exciting places around the world since high school and continued her passion for debating and traveling at university where she participated in two editions of Harvard World Model United Nations and the London Security Exercise (LSE MUN). She also served on the Kent Model United Nations society committee for two years as Director of Conferences. Outside of MUN, Valeria enjoys traveling, learning new languages and anything related to the arts – music, theater and film. Hector will be serving as the Deputy Secretary general for KentMUN18. He is Spanish, born in the historic city of Salamanca, yet he prefers answering the dreaded “where are you from?” by European. Having lived most of his life in Toulouse (France); part of his childhood in Munich (Germany) and now living in Canterbury (England) with a short stay of a year in Los Angeles. In terms of Model UN; he has partaken in diverse committees from the small European Union at Cambridge, AU at Oxford or crisis committee at the LSE, to the gigantic SPECPOL committees at Harvard WorldMUN twice. Hector served as the Kent Model United Nations Society General Secretary for the 2015/2016 academic year; He is currently in his final year for a BA in Politics and International Relations at Kent; Hector’s interest are diverse, ranging from IPE, political economy of development, African politics, politically applied Bayesian games, conflict analysis, international relations and history, international security, all the way to the security implications of climate change and its links to energy security. Mélinda Rolo is a French student currently studying at the University of Kent as part of the bidiplome program between Sciences Po Lille and the University of Kent. She has been participating in MUN for over 4 years having started at High School by participating in local MUN conferences. Her MUN journey has taken her right across the world, from the Harvard National MUN conference in the United States as a Sciences Po delegate, to leading the University of Kent MUN competition team to Havard WorldMUN in Montreal Canada in March 2017. Born in the French countryside, Joseph was raised among Tibetan monks at the early stage of his life. He later grew up in Clermont-Ferrand, deeply affected by the reading of existentialist writers. After a year of literary studies, he decided three years ago to move into international politics, by joining Sciences Po Lille and the University of Kent in a double degree program. Joseph has been an active MUNer for a number of years and has attended conferences across the world including Montreal, Canada. He sees MUN as a way to further engage with what drives him: debating, thinking global, and exchanging with cultures. Natasha is a second year Law student at the University of Kent. Born in Nairobi, Kenya, Natasha  has been an active MUNer for over 4 years, viewing it as a way to enhance her understanding of diplomacy and international issues.Outside of KentMUN, Natasha enjoys playing the piano, exploring Canterbury, and watching movies with her friends. She is extremely excited to serve as the Under Secretary-General for Logistics, and can’t wait to see everyone at KentMUN! Please write to her with any questions or concerns (or movie recommendations!) at logistics@kentmun.org
